TVR Founder Trevor Wilkinson dead at 85 years old.

It is with sadness we note the passing of Trevor Wilkinson, who started TVR in the 1940s. The name "TVR" is taken from his first name: TreVoR. He passed away at the age of 85 in a hospital in Menorca where he had been for the last couple of weeks. He was not in pain at the time of his death. We will have more later, but suffice it to say, this is a great loss for us in the TVR community and for those of us who had an opportunity to meet Trevor, we are all the better for it.

The New York Times ran an Obituary for Mr. Wilkinson. Read it. Our own club president Marshall Moore is quoted in it and the source of most of the information (the correct parts....)

Filby book to be reprinted!!

Peter Filby is re-printing his famous book 'Success Against the Odds' This will be re-printed in time for the Christmas period. Could be sooner! Watch here for where to order it from! This book is now being listed on Ebay for lots of money and is the only one with the famous "naked girl" pictures from the British autoshow arranged by Martin Lilly. I have always wondered whatever happened to those two ladies..... Housewives in Liverpool, I suppose.
